Q: What is Love Northeast Denver?
A: Love Northeast Denver is a task force composed of community members and neighbors who desire to love and serve their neighborhoods during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Q: Who are we?
A: We are a group of neighborhood residents and churches working together to help our community during this pandemic.
Q: Who will receive these services?
A: Anyone who lives in the ten neighborhoods that make up Near Northeast Denver.
These neighborhoods are:
- South Commerce City
- Five Points
- Northeast Park Hill
- North Park Hill
If you are unsure which neighborhood you live in, all ten fall under the following zip codes:
- 80022 (South Commerce City)
Q: What services will you provide?
A: We are here to help in any way we can. Whether you need childcare while you are working, someone to deliver groceries, or just someone to talk to about the stress and fears you have in this uncertain time, we have someone to meet that need. The specific ways we are working to meet needs at this time include:
- Social and Emotional Support
*while we are unable to provide actual healthcare we will work to make sure you are receiving the proper healthcare needed
*at this time we are unable to fund monthly rent payments, but should the need arise we are able to help prevent eviction. Housing assistance during the crisis is aimed at people who need or can offer unoccupied space for quarantine purposes.
Fill out the form on our Request Assistance page with your specific needs and someone will reach out to you shortly.
Q: When will this begin?
A: Now! If you are in need or know of someone who requires help, we have teams ready and waiting to serve you. We will be operating for as long as necessary until COVID-19 is no longer a threat.
Q: Where is Love Northeast Denver located?
A: Our headquarters are located at
Providence Bible Church
3050 Richard Allen Ct
Q: Why are you doing this?
A: Most of us volunteering are followers of Jesus Christ, and we believe that we are called to “love your neighbor as yourself.” (Mark 12:31). Jesus taught us that the greatest way to do this is to lay down our lives for one another. While we recognize the very real threat this virus poses to our world, we also see the great need that many people have because of it and we want to provide any relief and aid that we are able to.
Q: What preventative measures are you taking to make sure you don’t spread the virus?
A: While our goal is to serve our community members, we recognize that this is a precarious time and what would be possible in normal circumstances is not possible right now. The last thing we want to do is spread the virus or actually do harm to the community through our efforts to help.
We are making sure to follow the government and CDC’s recommendations through our aid. All volunteers will follow proper hand-washing protocol and maintain a six foot social distance as often as possible. If anyone begins to show symptoms or feel sick they will immediately end their volunteering to quarantine at home. If you feel sick or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please get in touch with a healthcare professional, or fill out our Request Assistance form and we will help you speak with a doctor.
If you have a confirmed case of COVID-19 and are in need of assistance, please specify that you are sick on the form and we will make special accommodations to serve you in a way that keeps both you and our volunteers safe.
We are consistently adapting as regulations and recommendations change and working to be in complete compliance with our government and The World Health Organization. We recognize that this is a constantly evolving situation and we are prepared to deal with these changes as they come.
Q: What if I need help but I don’t live in those areas?
A: While our primary ministry is to our local neighborhoods, we would be glad to help you find ministries working in your area or point you towards resources who can help.
Q: What can I do to help?
Q: What are the requirements and expectations of volunteers?
A: Every volunteer is required to read and agree to the 📄 Volunteers Protocol & Agreement Form.pdf.
